In this article, we will be discussing some helpful tips that will guide you when it comes to keeping your pet dog happy.
1. Play with them.
Playing with our pet dogs everyday will make them happy pets. When you schedule a play time with your pet dog, you benefit him physically and mentally. This will also make your relationship with your dog stronger and you will be able to easily train him.
Some of the possible games that your dog will love are fetch, tug of war, playing ball, catch, etc.
2. Walk with your dog.
Keeping your dog locked inside your home is never good for him. Dogs become happy pets whenever you walk with them and you take them outside. Walking our dogs everyday will also make them healthy pets.
3. They love treats.
Buying doggy treats and chew toys is an excellent way to train, discipline, and keep our dogs happy. When giving them treats or toys, it is important to let them know who is in charge. At the end of your play session, you have to keep the toys away. By treating these as positive reinforcements, you can easily discipline and train your dog.
4. Reward their good behavior.
Whenever your dog follows your command, behaves well, or shows any positive behavior, make sure that you acknowledge him. You can do this by simply patting his head or by giving him treats. If you know how to use positive reinforcements, you can easily encourage your dog to behave all the time. In addition to this, you also make them happy whenever you present them with treats or rewards.
5. Your dog needs attention.
Your dog will always be happy if your give him time and attention. Always check if your dog needs to be groomed. Make sure you brush his teeth everyday to prevent gum and teeth problems. Check for fleas and bathe your dog regularly.
6. Feed your dog.
Pay attention to your dog’s water bowl and always replenish it if you see that it’s empty. Keeping your dog’s eating area/ bowls clean is also very important when it comes to keeping him happy.
The key to keeping our pet dogs happy is to show them that we love them and that we care for them.
